1 Information We Collect

When you interact with Futuretechnode, we collect information that helps us provide better educational experiences. This happens in several ways, and we want you to understand exactly what we're gathering.

Contact Information: Your name, email address, phone number, and physical address when you register for programs or contact us
Educational Background: Previous design experience, portfolio samples, and career objectives to customize your learning path
Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and website usage patterns for security and improvement purposes
Learning Progress: Assignment submissions, project work, attendance records, and performance metrics within our programs
Payment Information: Billing details and transaction records, though financial data is processed through secure third-party payment processors
Important: Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, we only collect information that's necessary for providing our educational services and with your clear consent.

2 How We Use Your Information

Your data serves specific purposes in delivering quality UI/UX education. We don't use it for anything beyond what's necessary to serve you well.

Primary Uses: Course delivery, progress tracking, certificate issuance, technical support, and communication about your educational journey with us.

We analyze learning patterns to improve our curriculum and might send you relevant industry updates or new course announcements. You can opt out of marketing communications anytime, but we'll still need to contact you about important program updates.

Sometimes we use aggregated, anonymized data to understand trends in UI/UX education or to share general insights about student success rates. This never includes identifiable information about individual students.

3 Data Sharing and Third Parties

We keep data sharing to a minimum. When we do share information, it's with trusted partners who help us deliver better educational services.

Payment Processors: Secure financial institutions handle payment transactions with industry-standard encryption
Educational Technology Partners: Learning management systems and video platforms that power our courses
Cloud Service Providers: Secure hosting and backup services that keep your data safe and accessible
Legal Requirements: Government authorities when required by Taiwan law or to protect our legitimate business interests

All third parties sign strict agreements requiring them to protect your data and use it only for the specific services they provide to us. We regularly audit these relationships to ensure compliance.

4 Your Rights and Choices

You have significant control over your personal information. Taiwan's data protection laws give you specific rights, and we've made it straightforward to exercise them.

Access Your Data

Request a complete copy of all personal information we hold about you, including how we've used it and who we've shared it with.

Correct Information

Update or fix any inaccurate personal data in your student profile or educational records at any time.

Delete Your Data

Request removal of your personal information, though some educational records may need to be retained for legitimate purposes.

Restrict Processing

Limit how we use your data while maintaining your access to essential educational services and support.

Data Portability

Receive your personal data in a structured format that you can transfer to another service provider if desired.

Withdraw Consent

Revoke permission for data processing activities that require your consent, though this might affect some services.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@futuretechnode.com with your request. We'll respond within 30 days and verify your identity before processing any changes.

5 Data Security and Protection

Protecting your information is a top priority. We use multiple layers of security to prevent unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security incidents.

Our security measures include encrypted data transmission, secure server infrastructure, regular security audits, access controls, and staff training on data protection protocols.

All staff members sign confidentiality agreements and receive regular training on handling personal data responsibly. We conduct quarterly security reviews and immediately address any potential vulnerabilities.

If a data breach ever occurs, we'll notify affected individuals within 72 hours and provide clear information about what happened, what data was involved, and what steps we're taking to address the situation.

6 Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your personal information only as long as necessary to provide educational services and meet our legal obligations. Different types of data have different retention periods.

Active Student Records: Maintained throughout your enrollment and for two years after course completion
Academic Transcripts: Kept for seven years to support verification requests and career advancement needs
Financial Records: Retained for five years as required by Taiwan tax and accounting regulations
Marketing Communications: Removed immediately upon unsubscribe request or after two years of inactivity
Website Analytics: Aggregated and anonymized after 18 months, with individual data deleted

When retention periods expire, we securely delete or anonymize data using industry-standard methods. You can request early deletion of non-essential information at any time.

7 International Data Transfers

Some of our educational technology partners and cloud services operate outside Taiwan. When we transfer data internationally, we ensure it receives adequate protection.

All international transfers comply with Taiwan's data protection requirements and use approved mechanisms like standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions. We regularly review these arrangements to ensure continued protection.

Key Locations: Our primary data processing occurs in Taiwan, with some backup and educational platform services located in Singapore, Japan, and the European Union under strict protection agreements.

8 Cookies and Website Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance your browsing experience and understand how you interact with our content. Most of these are essential for the site to function properly.

We use analytics cookies to understand which pages are most helpful and identify areas for improvement. Marketing cookies help us show relevant course information to potential students who have visited our site.

You can control cookie settings through your browser, though disabling certain cookies might limit website functionality. Our cookie preferences center lets you choose which non-essential cookies to accept.

9 Changes to This Policy

We update this privacy policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When significant changes occur, we'll notify active students by email and post updates prominently on our website.

Minor clarifications or administrative updates might be made without individual notification, but we'll always maintain a record of changes with effective dates. We encourage you to review this policy regularly to stay informed about how we protect your information.
